In this workshop, you will:

• Learn how to eliminate long floats in your colorwork using the ladderback jacquard technique, resulting in smoother, more even work.

• Understand when to apply the ladderback jacquard technique in knitted designs.

• Simplify the process: We’ll break down the steps of ladderback jacquard, making it

easy to incorporate into your patterns.

Materials Provided: The pattern link will be emailed to students before class. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/love-the-winter-hat

Homework: Students need to knit the ribbing, a few solid rounds, and the first 3 rows of the chart before attending class. Jana will be available by email if students have any questions about the homework.

Student Supplies: 50-100 grams each of 2 contrasting colors of worsted weight yarn, depending on the size chosen, per the pattern. Students should bring their completed homework along with their project yarn, preferred needles for working in the round in a small circumference (dpns, magic loop, or 2 circulars), stitch markers, notions, and the pattern (either printed or electronic version).
